Highlight of NBA All-Star Weekend
Rookie/Sophomore Game? No. Dunk Contest? Maybe if it was the 90s. 3-Point Contest? Is Larry Legend or Jeff Hornacek competing? No. Then not interested. Now you must be thinking... The actual All-Star game... HA. Of course not. The highlight of the NBA All-Star game is going to be less than a minute long and it is when Charles Barkley is going to race Dick Bevetta. Bevetta is known to all who watch the NBA. He is the 67 year old ref who has not missed a game in over 33 years. He has a unique warm up where he kinda runs in place and flails his arms. I just found out that the winner gets 50 grand to donate to a charity of his choice which just makes the competition that much better. It amazes me how confidentthe Round Mound of Rebound is... "No 67 year old man can beat me in a race... I don't think a 50 year old could either." Bevetta spends his time running up and down NBA arenas and is rumored to run 5 miles a day. Barkley spends his time eating small villages, sitting behind a desk at TNT and gambling millions of dollars. I'd put my money on the old man but either way it should be an enjoyable moment.
